The rotary die is a type of die consisting of a cylinder on which blades are inserted to cut or crease paper.
Rotary dies are used in the machine by clearing a complete revolution spin along the axis of the cylinder on which it is made. The cut it is able to make has a development tied to the Z of the die, i.e. the number of gears which it’s made of.
The Z measurement is calculated in inches.
